# Smashing Magazine: AI Startup Coverage, free, or from $1,170 (smashingmagazine.com)

> Smashing Magazine is a tech publication at smashingmagazine.com. It covers AI startups, with a rule: no product promotion. Listing is free; a paid spot starts at $1,170. The link you get is dofollow: links in a live article carry no rel (checked a September 2026 article); they say sponsored articles get do-follow links marked as sponsored. Review: you pitch a 200 to 300 word outline through the contact form and work with an assigned editor; no time is stated. Terms read on smashingmagazine.com on 2 October 2026.

Magazine for web designers and front-end developers. It pays individual authors for practical articles but rejects content marketing, product walkthroughs, press releases and pieces sent on behalf of a CEO; companies can buy sponsored articles or newsletter slots instead.
