How to pitch an AI startup to the press
Tech publications do not list products; they run stories, and a story needs news: a launch with numbers, a funding round, a first, a finding from your own data. Most take pitches through a tip line or a news address on their own site, some run a contributor programme, and a few sell sponsored posts at a stated price; each is on the place's page as its own site states it.
A pitch that gets read has the news in the first line, a paragraph on what the product does and for whom, numbers that can be checked, a press kit link with a logo and screenshots, and a founder who can be quoted. Send it to the desk or the reporter who covers the topic, not to a general contact form.
