How software directories and review sites work
A software directory keeps one profile per product: what it does, who it is for, prices, screenshots, integrations and alternatives. Buyers land on it from searches like "alternatives to" or "best tool for", so a complete profile keeps working for years. Most let a founder create or claim the profile for free; the paid side is visibility (a better spot, a badge, leads), sold by the month or by the click.
Review sites rank products by what their users write. A profile with no reviews ranks low, so ask a few real customers to write one once the profile is live; never write reviews yourself or buy them, which review sites look for. Update the profile when your prices or features change: buyers notice an old screenshot.
